OAKY Award Recipients

The OAKY Award is in memory of James (Oaky) J. O’Connor, Jr. He mentored many umpires through the MDUA and was a member of the Association for many years. His knowledge of baseball rules and professional demeanor on the field was highly respected. 

 

This award is given to a member of the MDUA who is highly dedicated to the game of baseball, the art of umpiring, the work and goals of the association, a sense of fair play, and a strong spirit of integrity towards his fellow umpires.
